Who we are? ¿Quiénes somos?
We are two exchange students of Political Science in the Otto Suhr Institute which is part of the Freie Universität Berlin. This blog is a common project elaborated for the seminar of “Introduction to Postcolonial Theory and Critique” coordinated by Dra. Sara Dehkordi during the winter semester 2018/2019
Somos dos estudiantes de intercambio de Ciencia Política en el Otto Suhr Institute de la Freie Universität Berlín. Este blog es parte de un proyecto común elaborado en el marco del seminario de “Introducción a la Teoría Poscolonial y Crítica” coordinado por Sara Dehkordi durante el semestre de invierno 2018/2019.
What do we pursue? ¿Qué perseguimos?
The objective of Postcolonial Poetry Project The mirage of national identity and the possible othernesses is to present a Manifesto which allow us to write and colect poetry which we consider are relevant for decolonial theory and that also reflects the postcolonial condition around the world. We propose a format similar to that of a critical edition of a colection of poems, in which notes to the verses are placed at the bottom of the page with the intention of clarifying and giving context to the contents with references for the reader. We seek to occupy that space of the critical apparatus in order to elaborate a reflective discourse that becomes tied and interwoven to the poetic expression.
In other words, the aim is to test discursive forms that transgress frontiers and tend disciplinary bridges, that resort to the allusive power of metaphor and other tropes at the same time that they use the analytical lens of concepts and categories to refer to multiple levels, dimensions and complexities of the postcolonial condition and its effects on the constitution of subjects, identities and possible othernesses.
El objetivo del Proyecto de Poesía Poscolonial The mirage of national identity and the possible othernesses es presentar un manifiesto que nos permita escribir y recolectar poesia que consideramos es relevante para la teoría decolonial y que también refleje la condición poscolonial alrededor del mundo. El formato que proponemos es similar al de la edición crítica de un poemario, en la que se colocan acotaciones a los versos al pie de página, a menudo con la intención de aclarar y dar contextos a contenidos con referencias culturales para el lector. Nosotros buscamos ocupar ese espacio del aparato crítico para elaborar un discurso reflexivo que vaya quedando atado y entretejido a la expresión poética.
En otras palabras, el fin es ensayar formas discursivas que transgredan fronteras y tiendan puentes disciplinarios, que recurran al poder alusivo de la metáfora y otros tropos al mismo tiempo que utilicen el lente analítico de conceptos y categorías para remitirse a múltiples niveles, dimensiones y complejidades de la condición poscolonial y de sus efectos en la constitución de los sujetos, las identidades y las otredades posibles.
Why this blog? ¿Para qué este blog?
Este blog es la plataforma digital que reúne poesía y fragmentos de textos de diversos autores, además de textos originales que comparten contenidos relativos al colonialismo, a las condiciones sociales que provoca y a a la reflexión decolonial. Las entradas y contenidos están ordenados por etiquetas y categorías. Los formatos y los tópicos son diversos, híbridos y flexibles, a manera de que permitan ir tejiendo una red de contenidos significativos, no jerárquicos ni sistémicos, sino deslocalizada y heteróclita. El objetivo es crear un lugar para ensayar formas expresivas e interpretaciones culturales poscoloniales y decoloniales.
This blog is the digital platform that brings together poetry and fragments of texts by different authors, as well as original texts that share contents related to colonialism, the social conditions it provokes and a decolonial reflection. The entries and contents are sorted by labels and categories. The formats and topics are diverse, hybrid and flexible, so as to allow us to weave a network of significant content, not hierarchical or systemic, but delocalised and heterogeneous. The objective is to create a place to rehearse expressive forms and postcolonial and decolonial cultural interpretations.
